Terms & Conditions

By booking a yatra pilgrimage or motorcycle/4x4 adventure expedition with SereneTrails Adventures Pvt. Ltd., you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them thoroughly prior to confirming your registration.

1. Passport & Visa Requirements

For all yatras traversing into Tibet (China) via Nepal or Indian borders:

• Travelers must possess a valid machine-readable passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of return of the trip.
• Visas and travel permits are processed as a group visa by the Tibet Tourism Bureau (TTB). SereneTrails will submit all applications on your behalf. However, issuance of the visa and travel permit remains at the absolute discretion of government and border immigration authorities.

2. Health, Fitness & Medical Liability

Himalayan journeys are physically strenuous and involve traveling in high-altitude environments (reaching up to 5,600m) with low oxygen levels. By booking, you acknowledge that:

• You are in good physical health and have consulted a qualified physician regarding high-altitude trekking risks.
• A certified medical fitness certificate must be submitted to our office at least 30 days prior to departure.
• SereneTrails Adventures Pvt. Ltd. and its staff assume no liability for medical complications, altitude sickness, physical injuries, or fatalities arising during the expedition. All rescue and evacuation expenses are the sole responsibility of the traveler.

3. Trip Bookings & Payments

Bookings are officially confirmed only upon receipt of the initial registration deposit (slab varies by package). The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 30 days prior to the departure date. Failure to clear the dues on time will lead to booking cancellation and forfeiture of the initial deposit.

4. Route & Itinerary Alterations

Safety is our top priority. We operate in extreme and unpredictable Himalayan weather. We reserve the right to alter routes, acclimatization days, or transport methods (e.g., swapping helicopter rides for overland vehicles) if required by border restrictions, landslides, weather safety, or government directives. Any added costs resulting from such changes must be covered directly by the traveler.

5. Bike & Vehicle Rentals

For adventure riders hiring Royal Enfield, ADV motorcycles, or 4x4 SUVs:

• A valid driving license (International Driving Permit for international segments) is mandatory.
• A security deposit must be submitted before vehicle handover. Any damages to the vehicle during the expedition will be deducted from this deposit.
